So I was sick during "Candide" lectures, but I hope someone, sometime mentioned this:

The Peace of Westphalia, also known as the treaties of Münster and Osnabrück, is the series of treaties that ended the Thirty Years' War and "officially" recognized the United Provinces and Swiss Confederation. The Spanish–Dutch treaty which ended the Eighty Years' War was signed on January 30, 1648. The treaty signed October 24, 1648 comprehended the Holy Roman emperor Ferdinand III, the other German princes, France, and Sweden.

Free Response:

For a current high school freshman in bio, english 9, geometry AC, band, and assorted electives, is it smart to:

1. Test out of English 10, though a difficult subject for this individual.
2. Test out of Geometry AC because all the other kids skipped two years in middle school.
3. Take Phy Sci.
4. Play in the band.
5. Take a computer science class, either at WCC or HHS.
6. Feel that he can take on this load because he's got two free hours per night when he's not doing homework (excluding time to practice on saxophone).

I hate brainwashing. Go, go, go... Not because you're interested, just because you one day can aspire to copying physics homework in the library before reading assigned readings during art lecture, only to fall asleep in French 6 AP the next hour.

I saw the Q-tipped drum major in real life today, without his hat.

I also inflated, and then made a hot air balloon lift off today with a toaster. And then, I played Do A Deer with my feet, and I talked into a satellite dish and I blew bubbles out of everything and played with water toys. And I got to sit at a TV desk with cameras and say things like "you smell."

(Those rumors about growing up, they're not true at all.)
